This study is to assess the production of bio-ethanol from starchy potato wastes, particularly from waste of potato, rice, and wheat using simultaneous saccharification and fermentation (SSF).
The major objectives undertaken in the study are:
- Efficient conversion of starchy potato waste materials in to glucose using Aspergillus niger.
- Efficient production of bio-ethanol by SSF process.
- To optimize bio-ethanol production in terms of inoculum size, pH, temperature, and agitation rate using SSF process.
